Rao's marinara is praised for its restaurant-like taste and easy flavoring, with the glass jars avoiding the dented-can problem that comes with some pantry sauces. The 15.5 ounce jars are repeatedly described as small, and the price is often compared unfavorably with larger Costco, Sam's Club, Aldi, and local store options. Delivery damage is the biggest concern, with smashed or cracked jars and leaking boxes reported often enough to make shipping feel risky. It is a convenient sauce if you will use it quickly, but the value depends heavily on size and safe delivery.

Canned goods: Always dented, smashed, stored incorrectly (probably in a hot warehouse or in the sun) and/or contaminated with unknown stains on the outside of every can with who knows whaat liquids or animal urine/feces. When you dent a can it eliminates the vacuum inside making the contents prone to spoiling much sooner. Contents lifespan is significantly shortened because of both dents and hot storage and there is no way to tell how much shorter it got, but you can be sure it will go bad sometime before it hits the "best by" date so use it immediately to discover if it has already gone bad so you can actually get a refund in the 30 day return window, or to consume it while it is still good since it won't be good for much longer. Most items were clearly dented before they were even shipped, but those that weren't will be dented a lot more during shipping since almost no Amazon warehouse worker ever packs canned goods correctly so all the cans move/bang around loose in the box and get to your doorstep a lot more dented/smashed.
Glass jars: Also stored incorrectly (probably hot warehouse or in the sun), often having unknown stains on the outside of the jars, and when they are shipped roughly 90% of all glass jar shipments have had at least 1 broken jar by the time they get to my doorstep, always caused by a dumb warehouse worker who didn't pad them correctly to stop them from banging against each other or using enough packing material to stop all the jars from just tumbling around loose in the box.
If you really want this sauce, get it from Costco as they usually have a 2-pack for around $9-$10 which is still a much better deal than any grocery store sells this for. You can be sure the sauce you purchase at Costco will be fresh and unbroken. All food items sold on Amazon that seem like a really good deal are priced that way because they are trying to get rid of it due to one of these problems I mentioned above, at least that's what I've noticed over 15 years of ordering dozens of food products and always getting the same disappointing results.
