I have this and it actually works. It throws a lot of spatter but it works fine for most light welding jobs. It obviously doesn't have the power to weld thick steel plates very well (maybe it would with enough preheating?) but it works decently well for most stuff you'd want to spot weld or tack back together on cars and random tasks around the house. If you think it should perform like a $3000 Lincoln welder then you're crazy. It is a cheap low power stick welder, so as long as you understand that and you have some common sense then you'll probably be happy with it's abilities, especially for this price. I started buying Seesii products after Project Farm showed some of their products in various review videos and they were always performing at least middle-of-the-road but for a REALLY LOW PRICE so last year I got their 1/4" 3/8" 1/2" torque wrench set for $45 (better than Harbor Freight torque wrenches), then the 3/8" extended 6" reach ratchet w/2 batteries for $44 (works similar to Milwaukee extended reach ratchet w/about 25% less torque), 1/2" impact wrench w/2 batteries for $50 (removes lug nuts torqued to 175 ft lbs on trucks), this welder for around $35, and a few other products and they all work much better than they should for how little they cost lol!

Went not a mini inverter stick style? This form factor looks like it's a pain to deal with...

I love how the cheaper a garage product gets, the more of those vents/lines/contours are speckled on the unit that serve zero purpose. It ends up looking like a real life Destiny or Tron item from a game.

Has anyone tried using these for "trail" repairs or quick tractor bracket reattachment?

I got it last week. I was skeptical, but so far so good. No regrets so far.
I checked out a few YouTube video reviews before buying it, and my experience match. All basically saying stick to small jobs, and it should be fine. It's a little bulky to maneuver, and my welds look awful, but I don't care. e.g. fixing wheelbarrow, misc tools.
Goggles seem to work, but I'm going to get a full mask. Already had a couple close calls from stray sparks.
