The Idea Tab Pro isn't for everyone. The plus has a significantly brighter screen (800nits peak, 600nits typical) than the pro (400 nits). For media consumption, the Plus is much better. 400 nits is just not good enough on a tablet for media consumption. For productivity, the Pro is better, of course. But for me, the main reason to buy a tablet is to watch videos/movies, so the Plus is a much better fit.

Just an FYI - they list Android 15 as OS and promise upgrades of 16 & 17 plus security patches until 2029. Android 16 is already out and 17 is expected in June.

A good deal, be sure they hold their side of updates. Been using Lenovo/Motorola for decades with no issues. Went ahead and grabbed a wireless mouse they had in there for $8 and free shipping.

I currently have Galaxytab S7 FE (12.4") and use it everyday. Really like it.

Trying to upgrade but the newer Galaxies are too expensive.

Will this be a good update? Curious if anyone jumped from Galaxytab to this and can share experience.

I'm not picky about brightness and resolution nor material. Just decent screen and speed with light plastic works for me. Using just for casual surfing and YouTubing.

I know these are cheap but the device being vulnerable to security issues after only 3 years feels stingy from Lenovo.

Release date was October 2025, so 2029 is 4 years of security updates. That's not great, but better than average for $200 Android devices. You have to get up to the $500 devices before you see 5 years of updates and maybe $800 will get you 7 years of security updates.

I'm not great with tablets but what makes it so glare isn't bad? Sitting on planes or in airports and light really sucks for my galaxy tab a9

Putting on a matte screen protector should help.

Same here, I'm been using for few days to watch video. The PLUS only regular speakers, which CAN NOT COMPARE to PRO with 4 JBL speakers sound fantastic. I chose the PRO over the PLUS because the 13 screen. The Plus only 12 inches, which almost same size as the iPad. Of course, the PRO is more faster too.

The Plus only better with the screen brightness. As the PRO has 400 nits, which is a lot brightness when you use indoor. I only turn the screen brightness 50% right under 4 LED dinner lights. You only need extreme brightness when you use outdoor under direct sunlight. When I outdoor, I just use my phone or 10 inch iPad for easy to carry.

$40 more, you get:
13 inches bigger screen size
4 JBL speakers
Faster processor
400 nits is way enough for indoor, no need 600 or 800 nits. The more brightness you use, the faster the battery drain.

Any idea how this might compare to the 13" Onn tablet that just came out? Obviously this one's cheaper, but spec-wise the Onn might be better?
