What's this? An Amazon sale?

No, another Walmart price match.

Great game. I much prefer it over the prequel, and it got a free switch 2 upgrade.

What was your issue with RDR2? I'm trying to give it a second chance myself. I loved RDR1, but 2 didn't click for me at launch.

I couldn't imagine playing a game like RDR2 on a switch. Has to be a completely stripped down experience

I own this on Xbox 360, sadly they never gave us a 60fps upgrade, like they did to other platforms. At least it still has dead multiplayer. lol

This is the first RDR. It's a bit more basic.

Maybe I misunderstood your comment, tho. My bad if so

Oh how can I count the ways... first off, if they release RDR2 on Switch 2 I'm buying it. The world is gorgeous and it's a fantastic sandbox to play in. I love RDRed1. Top 3 game all time. One of the best game stories ever. Ending was chilling. Prologue was satisfying. World was the best at the time.

As for 2, the story was mostly awful. Morgan was never mentioned in the first Redemption. Why create a new character that eventually mentors John when he never mentions him in the first game? The gang makes the dumbest decisions even by old west outlaw standards. Morgan donates a kings ransom by those days standards by honest living, but Dutch keeps going on about that last big one. Get out their and hunt, fish and forage! Nope, Dutch plans another terrible hold up.

The missions? Darn near a rail shooter. Divert a little bit? Ope someone in the party ran head into gunfire. They dead, you fail. Try to scavenge more than a couple bodies? Nope, one of your gang members runs ahead, dies, failed mission. Rob a bank? The whole town is out front. There is a back door. Nope, can't go through that. Run off to the side around back, board a house and ready to escape? Nope. Failed mission cause your gang runs straight into the street to get gunned down.

I HATE the mainline story. Morgan moves like he's stuck in molasses. During the traveling scenes I spent most of the time trying to shoot the other gang members in the back of the head. (Sadly the game would not let me) Morgan should've grown a pair and took over the gang, but that wouldn't have jived with RDRed1. They should've let us control Dutch, but it wouldn't have been the crap show it was.
Really enjoyed the prologue in 2 when the story was over. Just enjoy the beautiful world. Would be a shame to have to play through the main mission to enjoy it though...
