You have to check your AmEx account online to see if they sent the offer, and then activate it. THEN you make your purchase at Sherwin Williams with that AmEx card. I got this offer on an American Express Blue Cash Everyday card; it might show up on other AmEx cards as well.
These American Express offers are ALWAYS YMMV, some people get them, others don't. They only show so many offers in your account, but if you activate the offers you're seeing, that will make room for more new offers (refresh your screen, or log out/log in to your AmEx account).
This offer will combine with sales prices at Sherwin Williams since this is a statement credit that shows up on your AmEx card. Make sure you read the terms on your offer, so what you purchase qualifies. Sherwin Williams usually has a 40% off paint sale mid summer and in the early fall (no guarantees, but that's typically been the case). The offer I got expires 9/30/2026.

Statement Credit
If you meet the offer requirements, the statement credit(s) will typically post to your account within 30 days after you make a qualifying purchase, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. In some circumstances, it may take up to 90 days after the offer end date for statement credit(s) to post. Please call the number on the back of your Card if credit(s) have not posted to your account 30 days after you made the qualifying purchase.
