Really neither are good if you use them for anything other than to replace batteries in kids toys. My garage looks like a ryobi tool store and I bought these to match everything, but the tips are so soft that I had to give them to my kid to play with. I purchased a set of diamond coated tipped craftsman screwdrivers probably 20 years ago that are still super awesome, and everything is finally getting diamond grit tips now, so I would just find a deal on something like that. As far as the magnetic tips, just slide a magnet in one direction a dozen times or so up or down the shaft and it will become magnetized.
