Bought this for $123 in 2017... I guess that's inflation for ya. It's a nice watch! The Eco Drive (solar) is very cool, but you have to remember not to leave it in a drawer for an extended period of time since it's meant to be bad for it to totally discharge. I made that mistake, but fortunately mine still works.

Hmm, you make a point and I suppose it's subjective. This is where makers place the movement... automatic, eco-drive, etc. at this price point, for these specs, this is a good deal for sure!

From my research (I don't have one yet) ecodrives are really smart. They're spec'd to be left in the dark for 6 months without any issues. They go into a low energy mode where they don't move and then catch up when they see light again.

Even if you leave it for years and the battery dies for some reason, you can just switch out the battery like a normal watch.
