Clear is definitely the way to go!! Used these for moving the kiddo back and forth to college. Worked great!

I've own several of the Sterilite totes in the past. Went on a few road trips with these, and the rubber type totes. My thinking was it will nice to see inside some of the totes. In day to day use these don't hold up as well as the rubber ones. The plastic cracks and creates sharp points. I won't buy these again.

Well I try to be environmentally conscious and do my best to reduce plastic waste plus the black plastic irritates the gators' gut….. Then they're wary of what I bring them.

The clear ones are the most prone to breaking. If you need something more heavy duty get the black ones.

Every single order ever from Sterilite has come with 50% of the containers being broken. Still in for four of these, but I fully expect to receive 2 good ones and a credit for the others. Not sure how they can manage that level of breakage.

Out of the 3 they had in the aisle at our local Walmart 2 were broken. We bought the remaining one but buyer beware. There's a high likelihood you may need to deal with returns (but at least you can conveniently wheel them in - assuming the wheels themselves aren't broken).
