I have it too, the backlight isn't great, its too bright at the lowest setting and kinda dim for sunny days on the highest setting. Also on hot sunny days, the screen artifacts, but turns back to normal when it cools down. I would get something better if I could.

I just installed it on my 2009 Civic sedan last week. It's mainly used as a backup camera. The wire for camera to screen and power wire to reverse light are both too short. As a backup camera it works fine so far. I'm also using it as Airplay via bluetooth to my iPhone and output to car's audio system via AUX port/cable. It works perfectly so far.
I got it for $42 and think it's worth it.

Installed this in an old Toyota Sienna. Well worth $34. I had to buy a 15' extension cable for the backup camera.

i have this from a previous deal. Mounting this will be pain, it does not have a suction mount. it has sticky tape which will hold it for a week max.

I've mounted 3 of these (the same one twice). They were different models/brands, but same idea. I much prefer the sticky tape, but mine came with high quality 3m double sided tape. When I had to relocate one of them, I used this stuff:

Yes. This device functions independently of your radio system. If you want to connect this device to output audio to your system that's fine too, via AUX cable or Bluetooth.
One note is this device does not come with anything to tap the power cable from camera to reverse light. So you might need to buy something like a T-Tap or go old school and splice the cable and tape them up.
