This Star Fox preorder is a physical Switch 2 release that stands out mainly for nostalgia and updated visuals, with the preorder price sitting below the original SNES and Star Fox 64 launch prices. The improved graphics and background effects look appealing, and the game has enough pull to justify a Switch 2 purchase for some. The main concerns are value and timing, since the price has reportedly stayed the same since May, the physical edition is showing $59.99 for some, and Amazon preorder deliveries may slip past release day. It feels like a familiar remake with a few tradeoffs.
