I have a 9.26" Volam w/o Netflix. It's great value but there are a couple of issues with it. It has Android Auto connection issues if your phone has Android v16+. There is a fix but it's not easy to find. Also, the backup camera image is stretched full screen and has only 90 degrees of coverage (170 claimed). This means you can't rely on it showing you things either side of your car.

Note that the 9.26" version has front and rear dashcam functionality, and it's cheaper at only $65 rn. I'd take that over Netflix any day.

I own a different brand comparable screen. The onething I don't like is that for phonecalls it uses the internal microphone, not the cars mic. Result is horrible at higher speeds.

You will still use the volume knob of your car's existing stereo. Not much use for a knob on this thing unless you want it to adjust FM radio frequency constantly.

I don't think that would be possible since the car mic is tied to your car's radio directly. It can't be shared with other devices.

If you pair your phone directly to the car for phone calls, it would work but if you use Carplay or Android auto, it probably reverts back to the screen instead.

But the car's microphone is used if you pair with bluetooth. Seems this should be possible.
Heck I'd even take an external mic that ill route to the ceiling from the screen.
And yeah, the whole purpose of this thing is to use A auto or apple cpl. Which works amazingly well.

No indication that auto-brightness sensor is present, having to change brightness could get tiring

Super easy. No adapter needed. All it takes is power from a power plug and a connection to aux in.

These types of products are very easy to install and very universal. I would not be worried about install.

Just decide if you want this style first, a portable unit vs one that installs into the vehicle's radio system.

This 9" version claims to have auto dim feature.

The biggest part of installing this is figuring out a good spot to mount it where it doesn't block your view and it doesn't move.
