3 orders - 3 cancellations. Customer service was zero help, although they will get back to me in up to 48 hours.

Rocking a 42" LG C5 as a display for less than this. 27" is so 2015
You are lucky that it works well for you! I tried the exact same for less than a day and it messed with my eyes for weeks. Those TVs are not meant to be used as computer monitors for a number of reasons.

It's called the "Apple tax".
There is no monitor like this for under $4k. I don't think you realize this why people even like this display. Read the specs.

You're like a office worker not knowing why people pay $$$ for a 320hz monitor when a 60hz works fine.

esports, color correction, programming, livestreaming, sim racing, bright rooms, offices, zoom calls, etc.. So many different needs all require slightly different specs and model types.

Generally the clientele who have high performance needs aren't the ones buying monitors on discount at....checks notes... Samantha's Club.

You had me laughing at programming and livestreaming -- I know people who do both on genuinely ancient hardware, and you'd never know. It doesn't take much. Programming -- so no one ever coded a single line before a 5K monitor hit the market? Comon.

Zoom calls? Really? I need a nearly $2k msrp monitor for low-fidelity video chats? Offices? You just lambasted me for being an office worker, yet you literally give that as a use case for this monitor. So...which is it?

It's a fancy, very nice monitor that does some stuff really well. But if you're not doing pixel-perfect color grading for photo/video, the benefits of this panel will be lost to you. That isn't meant to sound mean, but just really honest.

It's more panel than most people need, and if you don't already have one (or are shopping for one), you probably don't need it. And you probably can find something for much cheaper that's "just as useful". Even at $1k, it's still a very pricey option.

I don't think he/she didn't mean those are use cases for this monitor, but just different use cases for a monitor.

Yeah, my comment was about how different users value different things in a monitor. A lot of people look at it as something really expensive because they don't understand the niche it fills. Others of us think it's really cheap compared to the comparable monitors out there.

Apple did us a solid making something in this space so inexpensive when it first came out. Thankfully now other companies are starting to consider the +200ppi glossy, color, high-nits space (like the Asus Pro Art 6k 32")

He's coming to a thread about monitors to tell us all the wonderful things a monitor can be used for? 🤣

Best Buy will price match Sam's Club so you're better off ordering it there and speaking to chat to match it
