I am surprised/disappointed that Fiskars would put out a tool that rusts easily since they have to provide a free replacement as per their lifetime warranty.

No rust on the pair I've had for a year, so YMMV. Just fully dry it before putting it away if you're going to wash the pair. Sharpener build into the handle is pretty neat.

It might be just me, but I'm not a fan of the built in knife. It feels like one of those features that sounds helpful but could be dangerous.

I've used scissors since childhood, and I'm accustomed to how they work. I know what parts are safe and what aren't without thinking. When scissors are closed, the blades are safe to grab (aside from the exposed point at the end). With these, I'm afraid that at some point I'd accidentally slice myself on the exposed blade.

Similar to these shears, I got a double bladed chisel (https://www.walmart.com/ip/HART-1.../880812600) from Walmart years ago thinking it could prove useful. But I found that I almost cut myself multiple times on it since I was used to the sides of chisels being safe to handle.

I'm not giving this deal a thumbs-down. But if you know that you're clumsy or a bit absent-minded, keep in mind that a feature like included knife could easily result in a doctor visit.

I imagine that these are okay scissors, but for ten bucks I can get some serrated kitchen shears that are very capable for all these tasks and won't rust from Publix... so this is overpriced in some ways. Maybe the only real Advantage is that you can separate it

Good timing. My husband "borrowed" mine and they went to the black hole of borrowed implements.
