NGL, $2 a ball for top quality balls is pretty cheap. Beginners can absolutely play nearly perfect recovered balls for 50c a pop if they're going to lose them. On the other hand, greens fees are getting pretty crazy, with $30-50 for a public muni course and $40-80 for non-muni public courses in the middle of nowhere, ballooning to $150-200+ in vacation areas. And the nice courses - private clubs - have initiation fees into the 5 figure range with another $3k-12k/year in fees. I don't think it's a $2 golf ball holding back Millenial/GenZ from hitting the links.
I suspect Amazon is gaming the "only 1 left" notification, because I got the same psychological warfare notice in my cart 40 minutes before your post.
Ugh, I guess I'm just stuck in the 90s
Yeah, the only reason I can afford greens fees is that I'm a 'student' at the local college.
Because even if you just register for a CPR course you're a student
