Dang this is a great price. I think I paid $229 on a slickdeal 5 years ago and that was a great price even back then!

I have 4 of them in my garage that still look good as they did out of the box. If only I had a bigger garage I'd get more.

FYI I think these did come in different boxes on different days. That wasn't super clear in the ordering process.

What drop down would you recommend? Probably the shorter?

Also saying these have been great. I have 2 sets. One above the garage door for flat stuff (plywood, some 2x4 etc, empty gun cases for range trips ...) another taller one above my workbench for plastic bins, tents, beer brewing equipment.. all that stuff rarely used but won't get rid of.

These things are beefy strong hold ton of weight.

It all depends on your ceiling height in your garage. If you have 10ft ceilings, I would go 45 inches. If you only have 8ft, then stick to 12-24.

Great deal, OP! Thank you. I had been eyeing these a few years back when they were on sale for $300 for a pair, so this is even better. Thank you!

I've installed/uninstalled/reinstalled myself at 3 separate homes. Super easy. Use a studfinder, or else magnets to find the nails for the studs. I think they are usually roughly 16" apart. Grid it out. Once you have the 4 corners ceiling mounts bolted in, the vertical bars and then the horizontal bars are super quick. I think I did both of them in maybe 3 hours. YMMV obviously based on DIY skills.

Just FYI, trusses are commonly 24" on center. So finding the studs will depend heavily on what is above the garage ceiling.

Lol everyone thinks this is a great price? They were like $25 each on a closeout deal when i tried to sell my unused ones.

Yeah, you're going to have to post proof of that.

For anyone else wanting to install these yourselves, I highly suggest a drill hole jig to keep the bit straight. Unless you're used to drilling straight above you, you may ever so slightly get it canted. Snapping a thin pilot bit isn't fun.
