How were you able to do it? I'm also in Raleigh area, but only seeing $48/month for 1gig, and the promo only lasts for 12 months before jumping back up to $90/month. I'm seeing this at https://www.att.com/internet/fiber/. Is there a special promo page?

Important note: Expect to be charged the full amount (around $99) for first 3 months "until discounts kick in".

These promos are usually for 12 months, but couldn't see anything in fine print. Only that "pricing is subject to change".

Full details:

1 GIG Internet Offer: Ends 5/31/26. New eligible residential customers in Cleveland, OH, Raleigh, NC, Kansas City, MO, or Austin, TX, will receive a $45/mo. discount off the monthly recurring charge for Internet 1000. Pay full plan cost until discount starts within three bills. Must maintain qualifying speed tier for continued receipt of monthly discount. Residents of select multi-dwelling units are not eligible. AutoPay and paperless billing discount: $10/mo. discount when enrolled in AutoPay and paperless billing with your bank account or the AT&T Points Plus® Card from Citi. Discount reduced to $5/mo. when enrolled with a debit card. No discount if enrolled with any other credit card. Discount starts within three bills. Must maintain valid email address to continue discount. Taxes and fees: Up to $99 installation fee may apply, plus tax where applicable. Monthly State Cost Recovery charge which is not government required applies in OH. Taxes also apply. For one-time AT&T transactional fees, go to att.com/fees for details. Pricing subject to change. I talked to their sales team in chat - they said the $35 price has no expiration date, and that the promo will be applied sooner than 3 months in, although they didn't exactly give a date.

I'll report back how much they charge, but they waived the $99 installation fee and showed that there was no payment due until after the service starts. Plus their "points plus" credit card has a $250 cash back after spending $500 in the first three months, which I applied for and subsequently used for signing up for the fiber account.

Austin has got good competition now. Google fiber in a number of neighborhoods.

Spectrum is offering 1gb for $40.
Astround will give you a $300 cash card or something making the first year almost free.

Spectrum retention just offered me 500mbps for 3 years + 1 year of free spectrum mobile for $30/month taxes and fees included. Glad I don't have to deal with any IP for the next 3 years. Multiple threads on Reddit r/spectrum with instructions to get this deal. You don't have to sign up for spectrum mobile to get the 3 year $30/month deal.

Anyone in a non discounted area try to leverage this and get it matched? Figure it might work if threatening to cancel

I'd do it but when I click thru ATT thinks I already have internet with them (I don't). And then nothing loads and just throws up error messages.
I tried harder to sign up for this a few years back and a tech came and laid new fiber in my yard and then it got cut and the next one wouldn't lay new fiber because there was also spectrum service to my house. So finally a third guy comes and lays new fiber and then says he can't hook it up because I already have DIRECTV internet with ATT. Gave up.
