This is definitely a deal.
For reference: Walmart lists a cheaper version of the Legion 5 with no RGB, a weaker processor, IPS screen, and only a 5060 for $1,249. That's been the normal price on Walmart for a while now. Micro Center lists that same laptop for $1,049 but it's normal price until a few weeks ago was $999.

So for $50 more than the regular price of a weaker model you get a much better CPU, a better GPU, RGB, and an OLED panel. This is a no brainer.

Both 8gb VRAM. Only 5080 worth aiming for.

This is a great price if you will often use this laptop's screen (instead of using external monitors). 165hz OLED is nice!

How is this vendor's customer service? I've never ordered anything from them, and a bit hesitant to do so in case there's any issues.

Would need some pretty specific workflows to notice the difference between the Ultra 9 and the 7 imo. The GPU is identical between it and the $1449 version and the CPU isn't going to be the limiting factor for games regardless.

I bought a Yoga, and it turned out to be a terrible laptop. IBM used to be good, but now it's the worst. I wish I'd gotten an Asus instead.

$1300 for a gaming laptop with a 5060 is criminal... The Legion 5i is a great laptop but very overpriced.

Search 5080 in SD and you won't find any results for laptops that don't start with a $2
