The display also went out on mine. I mashed the button about 20 times and it came back on, and has been working fine ever since.
The newer units just leave the power screen on instead of showing the logo—a big improvement. I'm trying to get them to design a model that fits under 1.75" so I can put it in a rackmount

Either way, I think I'll pay for a 3-year warranty so as to avoid the hassle that some reviewers report for both. I never get those things except for stuff like this. $10 for the Sabrent, $7 for the no-name.

The only thing I want to see is if it's UL listed, or some other equivalent. If not, I can always return it. I have had my eye on it a while though, because the other hub I originally wanted is OOS and seems to have ben replaced with another model that's 40% more expensive.

Can your power strip fit 8 ports in a setup not much larger than two decks of playing cards AND do it without renegotiating charge rates when you plug something else in?
And when you need to extend or wall mount your setup, you need a bulky extension cord that won't fit in wire channels. This takes a standard two pin AC cable, giving you tons of options.
How about anti-theft? This can take a Kensington lock.
Also, have you priced UL listed 130W USB-C chargers? Most run you around $20-30 for only one port.
This is two of those for the same total price, but with 6 additional ports that automatically get redistributed as you add more devices.
It's also a weird form factor for anything but desktop use.
