Love this saw. I use it for all limb cutting < 7ft above ground level. Takes out small trees (<20 ft) with ease. Awesome for cutting slash down to a size required for our neighborhood chipping.

This deal is warm. I bought my saw open box on ebay for $80 shipped, and $37 is about what a 2ah battery and charger is worth. I haven't tried running my saw on a 2ah battery, but I wouldn't expect it to last terribly long. FWIW, I've been using it exclusively with a 4ah EDGE battery that came with an HP brushless angle grinder a few weeks ago for $137 shipped.

This may be a decent deal if you are in the Ryobi ecosystem already and don't want to add an additional battery ecosystem into the mix, but I bought a Seesii or something like that off Amazon from a another SD post for around 1/5 of this price that came with 2 batteries and a case, and the thing works great. I have only used it a few times as it isn't something I need often, but is nice to have when it is needed. There were many other posts that stated they were happy with it as well. Just an FYI.

Great price. I paid full price bare tool upon release ( like msrp for this kit. ). It is my go to small jobs one handed cut saw. Don't expect much from the 2Ah battery. I have used mine with 4 and 6, while doing property cleanup … rotating between three electric saws in a cherry picker bucket, to allow for some cool down. Unlike some other saws, this one has had a bit of a rattle, which other Ryobi saws have not had. Exchanged mine. Same rattle during some cuts.

I find that my tension comes somewhat loose after regular use - nothing major, but noticeable. I typically tighten it up with the attached screwdriver-thing before each use and sometimes while I'm using it, depending on how long I'm going.
