Dumb question, do I just use these for drilling bigger and deeper holes into wood than I can with a drill, or like, no.

Somewhat of a self feeding bit that you would have used a paddle/ butterfly bit for. Not a replacement for a holesaw cut. Overall, its a cleaner cut and doesn't dull as fast as a paddle bit because of the heat disbursement.
