Seems like getting 2x 12 month personal 365 (good for 18 months of 365 Family) + 2 years of Nord for $100 is a better deal than 1x 12 month 365 Family and 1 year of Nord for $90.
This bundle is mainly attractive for extending Microsoft 365 and NordVPN through stacking, especially if you already have a Family plan. The Personal key can redeem into Family as about 9 months, and multiple Personal codes or Nord codes can stack, with some accounts reaching years of extra coverage. The redemption flow can be finicky, sometimes requiring the keep Family option, and Microsoft caps home subscriptions at 5 years. Nord Basic may not extend older higher tier Nord plans, and the offer is limited per customer.
Microsoft 365 Family subscribers who want to extend coverage cheaply, because Personal keys can convert into about nine months of Family and stack cleanly.
People starting fresh with Microsoft 365 and NordVPN, because the bundle can be stacked across separate purchases to build long coverage with no issues.
NordVPN users on an older higher-tier plan, because Basic keys may not stack onto a different Nord plan and can leave the expiry date unchanged on the website.
Microsoft 365 Premium subscribers who expect Personal codes to extend their existing plan, because the redemption flow may not offer a keep-existing-plan option.
Redeeming a Personal key on an active Family account can trigger a switch prompt that lets you keep Family instead of converting to Personal. When you choose keep Family, the Personal code adds about 9 months to the Family subscription, and Microsoft may also offer a free extra month if you turn on recurring billing.
Yes. Multiple Personal codes can be stacked and converted into Family time, and multiple Family codes can also be redeemed to extend the account. Microsoft does cap home subscriptions at 5 years, so stacking too many codes can eventually fail.
The NordVPN Basic code can stack, but it may not extend a different or higher-tier Nord plan. The app is the better place to verify the updated expiry date if the website date looks wrong.
The deal is limited to one per customer on some listings, and later comments show the limit changing to two per customer for the Personal + Nord combo. Attempts to buy extra copies can be canceled, so multiple orders may require separate accounts or may not work at all.
They may fail if the Family subscription is expiring very soon. In that case, the workaround is to let Family expire, redeem the Personal code, then switch back to Family afterward.
Trying to get out of subscription through amazon. Has anyone successfully done that recently? I reached out to Microsoft before canceling and buying it from elsewhere and was told that I will lose data if I canceled even if I immediately activate it using different key.

I'm not sure if cancelling is different than expiring, but when I wanted to move away from Amazon managing my MS365 sub, I let my Amazon one expire. And it was a few months before I found a deal on MS365 from Newegg, and all of my data was still there. I was surprised at the length of time and number of emails they sent saying my subscripting had expired. It was def months as my expiration used to end around BF but now was set to expire in Feb, so it was a few months definitely.
How far into the process did you go? Or did you actually fully redeem the code, and now the website shows you as being on a Personal plan? I ask because for me it showed the same thing. I got to step "4 of 4", it was showing that I would have a personal subscription until "end of my current family subscription + 1 year" date, but when I clicked the "confirm" or whatever button, that's when it showed me the new "+ 9 months" date instead. Basically, I had to trust that the process would work even when it looked like I might end up inadvertently converting to a Personal subscription.
I got to Step 3: Set up recurring billing, where it shows my Microsoft 365 Personal would be to May 2027, and an option to add recurring billing or not.
I have not yet been bold enough to trust the process and click through to see what Step 4 shows.
Perhaps this will help someone with with concerns when buying 12 months Personal while currently subscribed to Family.
My experience:
1. Start on the manage subscriptions screen of my Microsoft account.
2. Clicking 'Redeem a code or prepaid card' opens new tab/window where you click a 'Get Started' button.
3. Paste the key into the Step 1 Enter Your Product Key page and click next.
4. Step 2 Redeem Your Product Key pages shows the key is for a Personal subscription - there is nothing about Family, but click redeem button anyway
5. Only on this page the question for 'Do you want to switch subscriptions' is asked - it explains currently have Family but key is Personal - there is option to keep Family and a note at the bottom that new expiration is 9 months after current expiration.
6. Click next and when I go back to my Family subscription I see new expiration is 9 months later than it used to be.
I tried this but on step 5 it didn't mention anything about switching subscriptions and just tells me I have a personal for 12 months from the expiration of my family (which is in a month).

Never mind, I saw Shroomy's post so decided to trust the process as well and when I clicked to confirm the personal extension (step 6), it then said "Do you want to switch your subscription?" and gave me the option. So I got 9 months added to my family sub but had to go through the process and complete what looked like switching my account to personal.
FYI on the Nord expiration date. They asked me to logout and log back in and this didn't appear to update the expiry date. I told them the date in the app was right and they said that's fine then, as long as it shows updated in the app. Apparently they don't care of the date on the website is outdated. Oh well.....
I see limit 2 per customer for this deal now, and limit 3 per customer for the family + nord. Maybe they increased it?
Thanks for the heads up, I did check it again and yup, it now does show as limit of Two per customer (for the $50 Personal 365 combo with Nord). I went ahead and got another one, meeting the limit. Repped for the heads up!
Is this just the "sale price" now for 12-Month Family? I'm trying to reload up and according to my spreadsheet the last time I bought was back on 6/15 from NewEgg for $67.99?
Regardless I'm in for 1 just to keep my renewal out (I'm down to 3 years, try to pick it up while its on sale).

I'll take the Nord code for $5 Amazon eGC; PM me if interested in trading
Late to the party but I PM'ed you. He's good for the trade thanks all!
EDIT: I went ahead and ordered one, I was offered to get "an additional month" if I put on auto pay, but from what I could tell I didn't see the month added (sounded like a dark pattern to me) I got another 12 months regardless.

Following the discussions in this thread:
You can and should instead get the "Personal" 365 offer for $49.99, instead of the "Family" 365 offer for $89.99. Why? Because the Personal 365 code can actually be applied to a Family account as 9 months of Family (instead of 12). On a per-month basis, this actually makes it quite cheaper than buying a directly-labeled Family product outright.
Personal 365 12-month code (with 1 year Nord) = Family 365 9 months worth
= $49.99
= $5.55/month. (Pro-rated out to 12 months, i.e. multiplying by 12, this would be equal to paying $66.65 for a year. Which is actually even a little cheaper than the $67.99 you paid last time. PLUS you get the 1 year of NordVPN code thrown in)
Family 365 12-month code (with 1 year Nord)
= $89.99
= $7.50/month (a ripoff compared to just getting the Personal one mentioned above!)
ALSO, don't forget to turn off auto-renew/auto-billing prior to applying the code. If done properly, when applying the code, Microsoft will offer you a free additional 1 month of service if you turn ON auto-renew; do so, get the free 1 month, and then just turn it off right after.
By doing this, you'll essentially get TEN months of Family 365 (rather than 9), making the per-month cost even cheaper, at $5/month ($49.99 for 10 months)

Well, your math works out if you don't value the Nord (or whatever add-on you got). Many of us use and have to pay for Nord VPN so that is a $25 value.
That makes the 9 months of M365 for $25 out to be 25/9= $2.78 per month. Excellent price which is roughly in line with the lowest it has always been. I fully expect Microsoft to turn the screws on us at some point so I am loading up to the max while I can.
