Seems like getting 2x 12 month personal 365 (good for 18 months of 365 Family) + 2 years of Nord for $100 is a better deal than 1x 12 month 365 Family and 1 year of Nord for $90.
This bundle is mainly attractive for extending Microsoft 365 and NordVPN through stacking, especially if you already have a Family plan. The Personal key can redeem into Family as about 9 months, and multiple Personal codes or Nord codes can stack, with some accounts reaching years of extra coverage. The redemption flow can be finicky, sometimes requiring the keep Family option, and Microsoft caps home subscriptions at 5 years. Nord Basic may not extend older higher tier Nord plans, and the offer is limited per customer.
Microsoft 365 Family subscribers who want to extend coverage cheaply, because Personal keys can convert into about nine months of Family and stack cleanly.
People starting fresh with Microsoft 365 and NordVPN, because the bundle can be stacked across separate purchases to build long coverage with no issues.
NordVPN users on an older higher-tier plan, because Basic keys may not stack onto a different Nord plan and can leave the expiry date unchanged on the website.
Microsoft 365 Premium subscribers who expect Personal codes to extend their existing plan, because the redemption flow may not offer a keep-existing-plan option.
Redeeming a Personal key on an active Family account can trigger a switch prompt that lets you keep Family instead of converting to Personal. When you choose keep Family, the Personal code adds about 9 months to the Family subscription, and Microsoft may also offer a free extra month if you turn on recurring billing.
Yes. Multiple Personal codes can be stacked and converted into Family time, and multiple Family codes can also be redeemed to extend the account. Microsoft does cap home subscriptions at 5 years, so stacking too many codes can eventually fail.
The NordVPN Basic code can stack, but it may not extend a different or higher-tier Nord plan. The app is the better place to verify the updated expiry date if the website date looks wrong.
The deal is limited to one per customer on some listings, and later comments show the limit changing to two per customer for the Personal + Nord combo. Attempts to buy extra copies can be canceled, so multiple orders may require separate accounts or may not work at all.
They may fail if the Family subscription is expiring very soon. In that case, the workaround is to let Family expire, redeem the Personal code, then switch back to Family afterward.
Well, your math works out if you don't value the Nord (or whatever add-on you got). Many of us use and have to pay for Nord VPN so that is a $25 value.
That makes the 9 months of M365 for $25 out to be 25/9= $2.78 per month. Excellent price which is roughly in line with the lowest it has always been. I fully expect Microsoft to turn the screws on us at some point so I am loading up to the max while I can.
Oh yes, I definitely value Nord too! It's a no-brainer for me with that thrown in, as it's my go-to VPN. I was just posting that info for the group to see how solid the deal is even WITHOUT factoring in the included Nord, as most of the discussions prior to my post were only about Microsoft 365.
Interesting...are you saying if you try to add a M365 Personal key to an account that has Family, that MS gives you 9 months of Family instead? And Nord keys are stackable, so that is a good way to work the deal.
Yeah but NordVPN has huge cash back deals from time to time , sometimes 100% back so unless you are doing it for the Microsoft.... Which I would do. I just think BF will have $40 for personal. I know it is 6 mo away but I have plenty of subscription left so no rush
I appreciate all the info provided above and steps which helped me out tremendously so let me share my experience and hope it helps someone.
I previously bought a grey market copy of office but after 5 good years they cut off my subscription. Came across this post and decided it was time to give Microsoft my money again.
Since I didn't have a registered product with Microsoft, I ended up signing up as a new customer and buying the 1 year 365 Family plan and adding the subscription online and added my 1 year of Nord. When signing up for 365, they ask you if you want to keep auto renewal on and gave me 3 additional months on top of my 12 for saying yes. I immediately turned it right off after competing the sign up process.
A day went by and figured I would pop back in this post and see if there were any more tips and tricks and saw that I could stack the 365 Personal with my 365 Family plan that I signed up yesterday with and decided to give it a try.
I bought the max, 2 keys online for 2 years of 365 Personal and easily stacked then. Like another poster said, you add the private for the 365 Personal and the very next screen shows I have a 365 Family plan and the screen says it's recommended to keep it. Hit accept and the additional year was added on. I added both 365 Personal keys to my existing 365 Family plan and now have the 365 Family plan that runs until 2/26/2029.
I also added 3 years of Nord VPN which stacked very easily. I didn't have Nord prior so I just chose the Basic plan and added all 3 keys and it stacked right away. No issues. So I now have Nord VPN until 05/27/2029.
Not too bad to have paid $190 + tax and have 33 months of 365 Family plan and 3 years of Nord VPN.
I'm sure others figured this out but you can buy the NordVPN bundle x2 and then buy the ESET bundle or other x2 also from the same Newegg account using 2 separate transactions. Was able to get 3 additional months from the first code but the additional 1 months offered from the other 3 codes did not stack. Happy with 51 months of personal for $193, thanks op very much appreciated
NEWEGG[newegg.com]has the Microsoft 365 Family 12-month subscription (6 User) + NordVPN Basic, Premium VPN (10 Devices) on sale for $89.99. Digital Delivery
I have been paying Microsoft for my subscription for a long time and have shared the added 5 accounts for years. I would hate to switch now and have them lose their content. Can I migrate to this deal seamlessly so they never feel the. bump?

I'm not sure what you would be switching. If you're already paying Microsoft, you can just purchase the key and add it to your Microsoft account. It will extend your subscription by 1 year (or by 9 months if you buy the Personal option).

Was able to place second order for personal and redeem for another 9months of Family. Can i stack nordvpn code as well and get second year of nordvpn on the same account?
Agree that personal subscription looks like the best way to go! If I'm starting fresh, is the trick of buying 4 years of personal and then stacking a single month of family to convert the whole thing to family still working? It only looks like a slight loss (92% gets carried over per https://support.microsoft.com/en-...scriptions)
Which would work out to $50x4 = $200 for 12x4=48*0.92=44.16 months. + $13 for 1 month of family for total of $213 for 45.16 months = $4.72/month. (And I could even then add stack another year of personal for 9 months more of family if I wanted more.)
Does that sound right? Any flaws in this plan?
