I received it, and my first impression is positive. The bag material is a thick nylon/parachute-type fabric that is fairly stiff and holds its shape well, even when empty. The back panel is padded and mesh-lined to help with ventilation and sweat control.
Interestingly, both side mesh bottle pockets are padded as well. I'm not sure that was necessary, but the pockets are wide and deep enough to be useful.
This is a top-loader design with a single main compartment and zipper closure. Inside, there is a rear sleeve intended for a laptop, although it is fairly loose rather than snug-fitting. Because of that, it can easily be used for other items besides a laptop.
One thing I appreciate is that the main compartment uses a two-way zipper. I find two-way zippers extremely useful, and more bags should have them.
The top lid contains an internal mesh pocket with a zipper that works well for pens and other small items. The exterior lid pocket is generously sized and can easily hold a tablet, glasses, and similar items. However, that zipper is only one-way, and it doesn't feel quite as robust as I would like. I suspect that rough handling could eventually cause problems. Neither zipper is especially smooth because the surrounding material is fairly stiff, so you may occasionally need to straighten the fabric for the zipper to glide properly.
The shoulder straps feel comfortable and offer plenty of adjustment range. The daisy chains are basic but functional.
As for capacity, the bag doesn't feel like a true 34-liter pack despite what the website claims. The material doesn't expand much, although the overall dimensions are practical. It's a good everyday-use size, but not something I'd choose for carrying a week's worth of clothing. The black color looks excellent—clean, stylish, and premium.
Another thing I like is the wide bottom "floor" of the bag. It isn't narrow or tapered, which makes it much easier to reach items at the bottom. That's a definite plus for me. If anything, I only wish the bag were larger.
My biggest complaint is the lack of external pockets. Even one quick-access pocket would have made a big difference. Still, it's not a deal-breaker. The zippers are acceptable but not particularly premium, so I would avoid being too rough with them to prevent premature wear.
Overall, I like this bag. It looks stylish, has a premium finish, and feels more expensive than its price suggests. If you're not expecting a huge pack or lots of organizational pockets, it's a solid option. At $12 with free shipping, it's an excellent value. Even with the minor shortcomings—average zippers and limited pocket options—I think it's well worth the money and would recommend it.
