My rotator cuff has been hurting for several months now. I just took a 1 month break from all exercise but the pain is still there. I only lift the bench bar without any weights, and lateral dumbbell raises, but nothing has worked thus far. I did not even know PRP was an option.
Cost was $600 and unfortunately not covered by insurance. But, it really seems to have helped. The shot itself was very uncomfortable - a lot of volume of fluid going into your joint. I've got no issues w/ needles but that weird pain/pressure almost knocked me out. Just be aware going in, if you decide to get it.
Since getting it (and resting the joint for 6 weeks) I have no issues w/ dumbbell bench, incline bench, military press, even pushups before were bothering me and that seems to have subsided.
I'd stay away from those lateral raises - those still really hurt me so they're gone from workouts. Check out Athlean-X's video 'The #1 Workout To Grow WIDER Shoulders Fast!', specifically the DB Hip Huggers. Lot's of good alternatives to still get a good shoulder burn.
Mine still hasn't shipped.
