Sony's DualSense wireless controller is the standard PS5 pad, and the comments focus on its price and long term stick wear. The recurring discount makes it easy to pick up extras, and the same price appears at ShopMyExchange with possible tax savings. Shiny finishes can feel slippery when hands sweat. Stick drift is the main concern, though cleaning with contact cleaner may help if the issue is dirt rather than failing hardware, and Sony's two year replacement coverage may reduce the need for extra protection.
PS5 players who want a spare controller on hand, because the sticks can be cleaned when drift starts and the low price makes buying extras practical.
Players who are comfortable doing simple maintenance, because stick drift can be fixed with contact cleaner when the problem is dirt rather than hardware failure.
Players who want a cheaper alternative to the premium version, because the regular controller costs far less while still using the same core stick tech.
Competitive players who need long-term drift-free sticks, because the standard controller can eventually develop stick drift and may need replacement parts.
Players who want a controller that stays reliable without maintenance, because stick drift can come from dirty potentiometers and may require cleaning or replacement.
Players with sweaty hands who prefer glossy finishes, because shiny shells can feel very slippery during play.
