This Lumary 20 inch flush mount fan is best suited to small spaces where a compact light and modest airflow matter more than whole room cooling. Installation is described as easy, and the app, remote, and Alexa control work for basic fan and light use, with the light offering full voice control. The main cautions are its small blade size, which limits airflow, and the permanent LED design, which raises long term reliability concerns. Dimmer switch compatibility also appears shaky, making it a niche pick for tight rooms.

  • The fan's airflow may be limited because the 20-inch size is small for cooling.

  • The embedded LED lighting can slowly dim over time, and the practical lifespan may be much shorter than higher-quality LEDs.

  • Power blips can reboot the unit and default the light to a color mode, requiring manual remote changes afterward.

  • The light can have compatibility issues with a dimmer switch.

Lumary products suck, had literally dozens fail. All because of crappy caps.

Dude, this one's Bluetooth-only. It doesn't support remote control, nor voice control with Alexa or Google.

Valid point that it doesn't support Alexa or Google, but it does come with a remote control and can be controlled via app with bluetooth. As someone who doesn't have any automation ecosystem like Alexa running, it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I bought a similar one from Lowes and my God was it easy to put up. Regular fans in the past were such a pain in the butt to assemble, etc.

Bros question was not a joke. Most of these fans require power to be sent to them 100% of the time, even when off, in order to maintain their "memory".When there is a power outage, even for second, when the power comes back on the unit boots up fresh from scratch and typically default to the light turned on to its default color mode. So any time there is a power blip you have to go to the remote to switch it back to say warm white from daylight white and so forth, and turn the light off. We had a light on in a room we rarely visit with a fan similar to this where the light was on for a few days after a power blip. Also, I highly recommend getting a fan that has alexa or similar integration as the remotes are annoying, its much easier to use voice commands to turn off/on a fan or light and set schedules or automations.
Yep, the most annoying part of myself buying lights on clearance is they usually succumb to this maybe I should stop buying lights on clearance, or pay more attention!!

You had me until you said the last paragraph. (Translated for the uninformed) get a Cloud connected fan so that when the manufacture wants to turn off services that worked when you bought the fan they can. You will own nothing and be happy.

edit. maybe I am too old but when I look at the ceiling fan I installed 20+ years ago that still works when I pull the chain as if it did on the first day I bought it. then I look at my Robot vacuum that I bought 5 years ago that no longer works because the company went under, the nest thermostat that no longer works like it did when i bought it. I like push button, pull chain non-connected devices.

This is a dumb comment. Alexa enabled devices don't stop working entirely if Alexa (not likely to be turned off) ceases to exist as a product. They still have the manual controls, but when you are in bed and its too warm or too cold, being able to say "Alexa, set bedroom fan to medium" is a lot easier than getting up and walking over to it or balancing on the bed trying to pull a cord in the dark. Besides, at $100 a fan, if some service became unavailable in 15 years, again not likely Alexa is huge, just buy a new one every 15 years then. Now the robot vac sounds like an issue, but you must have gone with some no-name brand Chinese fly by night brand if it ceased existing that quickly. Amazon, not sure if you've heard of them, is likely to be around for a few years.

Don't boomer us, bro.

Is it only me who thinks putting permanent fixture for LED is bad? Don't they eventually go out and you can't swap lights
Permanent LED structures don't go out like a standard lightbulb, they slowly dim. Your absolute best case scenario is that you get 15-25 years before it's dim to the point it needs replacement, but that's with quality lifepsan LEDs, which these likely are not since they don't outright state the lifespan. The cheaper ones get you half of that if you're lucky but realistically more like 5 years.

I'd like to point out since I haven't seen it mentioned yet- this fan is less than half the size of a standard ceiling fan. Unless you are putting it directly above a bed or putting multiple in a room you probably are not going to get the best air flow from this.
