When is your current sub expiring? My sub is until 12/2027 and it won't let me re-up at the discount.

Usually best time is to wait until holidays promosZ if you're current subscriber they'll offer you discount to upgrade based on remaining days for your current tier. Last holidays I think I upgraded to premium tier for like $120

i was subscribed for years until earlier this year when it expired. i haven't re-subbed yet, and i have the discounted price available to me (in cart). i might way until the last day of the promo though

Yeah because I much to prefer to pay the yearly price than the monthly price. Plus, I am thinking about upgrading to premium from Essential due to me eyeing a PS Portal.

He means he can upgrade to a higher tier at a discounted price for the remainder of his subscription. He doesn't have a discount for an additional year. You'll get the discount once your subscription expires tomorrow.
