The only thing they've announced is a price increase later this year (https://www.nintendo.co.jp/corpor...60508.html). The new price will be at this price point ($500) for the console with no game. I think these deals are just to try to acclimate people to the higher price, but $500 for the console with a choice of 3 games I'm not interested in isn't enough to make me bite.
At this point, I still have S1 games I haven't played, I think I'll just hold off until I can pick up a used S2 at a reasonable price while I work through my backlog of games or when S2 is at the end of its generation and there's a better games library for the system.

The Switch 2 is still the cheapest console of the generation. The gaming industry as a whole is in a pretty rough state. In the span of about a decade, it's gone from affordable for just about any budget, to a luxury entertainment with only those with plenty of disposable cash should apply, and things will get worse, we're far from the light at the end of the tunnel.

Anyone know if Nintendo plans to launch an OLED Version? Hate to buy it only to find an upgraded model released later this year.

No one knows, but I would assume they'll follow the same release pattern and like other companies, they would release an improved OLED version in 2029. I wouldn't expect anything later this year.

Without the extra $50 off like Target deal, it's not worth it to me.

Only comparable deal I've seen was last holidays but it was Mario kart physical and switch online expansion pack for around $530 from Costco . They'll be increasing switch 2 price in September I believe. But im still not in rush to get one

Are you talking about 5% off with red card? I can get that with 5% rewards from Best Buy credit card or choose option of 12 months no interest payments

nah, last week there was a $10 back in target gift cards for every $100 spent. If you bought this and added $1 of something random, this bundle came out around $425ish. some rumored to have luck using gift cards that if you bought them for 10% off, it basically made this bundle around $400ish after gc's and the bonus offer.

I mean with the steam deck price getting insane suddenly this console looks kind of tempting. The problem is the games right now look like trash. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't play most of what's available.

Is there deals where it's just $450? I don't want to download any of the games.

Maybe the system will be worth it one day, but it sure doesn't seem to be right now.

With all the other gaming consoles raising prices, Nintendo's pricing suddenly looks generous.
