I purchased these the last time for this price (like a month ago). You turn them off with a quick push after they've been on for 5 secs or more. If less than 5 secs, it swithches brightness. Good units for $5 a pop. They are very bright for household and cars use.

To be honest, I bought nice tiny flashlights that were highly recommended by the online community. It was a mistake, they were tiny little heat torches that put out the light of 1000 suns. They hurt my eyes to use in close quarters, and your hands if you touch them near the front. I would MUCH rather have flashlights that are decently bright and last for hours.

A customer picture shows good brightness enough to do the job. Also 4.7 Amazon rating is pretty good even if its by less than 1000 reviewers.

Alexa says max lumens is 700. So, the stock pimages, as usual, showing brightening the whole wooded jungle are misleading and inauthentic. But still not bad for general purposes. A customer picture shows good brightness enough to do the job. Also 4.7 Amazon rating is pretty good even if its by less than 1000 reviewers.

Seems to be a well designed, good basis flashlight set. So many more features than my older rechargeable flashlights -- 5 second turn off, instead have to cycle through all the modes to turn it off; digital readout of battery status; replaceable 1860 flat top batteries; and reasonable price at $5 each. Unfortunately I already have too many of these basic, now outmoded flashlights and can't think of any other places to put them.

Update: Got it to work. Had to remove the other item from my card, apply the coupon, then I could re-add it. Very strange.

I just got it to work. Not sure why, but I had to remove the other item from my cart I was planning to buy. Then the coupon applied and I was able to re-add the item and everything worked fine.

was just testing the 5 second off. so you have to press the button for 5 sec then press again to turn off.

Bought exact (?) same thing on one of the last sales. At $5 is absolutely no brainer if you need flashlights.

It's on the bigger side, but light output is great. Feels sturdy enough. LCD % display is super helpful. Again not the best flashlight in the world, but for $5, you're kind of buying the battery and the flashlight is free.
