I have a couple Sony FX line cameras and a couple Lumix cameras including the S9. This is a good deal, but there has been better. In an ideal world, I'd get the S9 for $1100, and then the ttartisan 40mm and call it a day. This deal is roughly equivalent, but you'd need to flip the 18-40mm lens included, and with L-Mount lenses that's always WAY harder than E-Mount.
As for how the S9 compares to my Sony cameras: I'd rather use my S9 any day of the week. In the face of that, I still end up needing to pick up my Sony cameras for some projects. If you're a hobbyist or wanna-be influencer, the Lumix S9 is practically speaking all you need. If you're a pro, there are industry properties that tend to make Sony a better choice (for now...).
The only thing this camera CAN'T do is multi-hour non-stop recording. It's kind of ridiculous how much is packed into this tiny full-frame body.
