I purchased two of these on clearance (~$15) around 3 weeks back. I have mine outside on a wheelchair ramp and neither show any sign of wear. The mat is flat on one side and the other side has one inch circular embossed spacers that are spaced about an inch from each other. This helps with shock absorption and water drainage.

Pretty great price and look nice for a home gym, a little smaller and thinner than the goat Tractor supply horse stall mats but still pretty nice overall.

I suggest looking at the reviews if you plan on buying multiple. Lots of pictures and reviews showing inconsistent sizing leaving gaps when trying to cover a larger area. I have a number of the tractor supply 4x6 mats and I've never had issues with the gaps.

Can you use it under a dogs crate to prevent the metal crate from scratching the floor

You could for sure. The rubber might leave spots on your floor though

I think these might be way cheaper in stores. Depending on location and if you happen to have a membership. I bought six for $126 after tax in Jan of this year. If you have to make a costco run just throw these in instead of ordering online and make some space in your vehicle. Better to have it flat because it might tear. I read the reviews about how some were different than the other but at least if you shop instore you get to see it yourself. Also during the delivery it might ripped depending how it was bent. It has some weight to it so be prepared to use some muscles.

I saw these yesterday at my local store and was going to leave this same comment. The ones in the store are all the same size so I bought 4 for my garage to cover where I walk around my workbench and toolbox since I'm standing there all day. They are comfortable and I keep the flat side up. They all fit together well since they are the same size but if you order them you can't be sure they will all be matching so I'd also suggest picking them up in the store if possible to avoid any mismatching problems like a few others have had. These are way less expensive than anything I've found at HomeDepot or Lowes, which cost double this price for this size mat of this weight and thickness.

Exactly! Good stuff! I keep the flat side up and use for gym purposes. also made a deadlift platform out of it with some plywood.

Bought the previous Costco. versions that were closer to the TSC mats and twice as thick. I still have 2 in my garage for when the home gym build-out is complete. I don't know if I'd trust the thinner ones if weights get dropped or really heavy equipment is on it.

Can also confirm that the cuts are not anything close to square and on the ones I bought are quite rough and shed little bits of vulcanized rubber all the time.
