Below is a letter from ACDsee team:

Hi Everyone,
I'm Dan, Lead Developer at ACD Systems. I don't usually write these kinds of emails, but there's something I've wanted to say for a while ā€” and a pretty exciting offer felt like a good excuse to finally say it.
Over the past few years, AI has been reshaping what's possible in photography software. As someone who's spent countless hours building these tools, it's been genuinely thrilling, but it's also raised a question our team kept coming back to: whose side is the AI actually on?
Too much AI in this industry is powered by the very images it's supposed to be protecting, so we built ours differently. The AI in ACDSee software runs locally on your machine. Your photos never leave your computer. They aren't uploaded to the cloud, and they are never used to train AI models. Not now, not ever.

I know that's not the easiest path from an engineering standpoint. Processing everything through remote servers would be simpler, but photographers trust us with something that matters; client work, personal memories, and a creative livelihood. We take that responsibility seriously.

One of the things I'm genuinely proud of is that after more than 30 years, ACD Systems is still a privately owned, family-run company based in Victoria, BC. That independence means our team gets to make decisions based on what's right for photographers and not what is going to make some "tech bro" more money. We focus on building software that holds up over time, rather than simply chasing trends.

To celebrate our privacy-first stance on AI-powered tools (and to say thank you for your support), we're making ACDSee Ultimate Pack 2026 available for $69 USD. That's the full bundle (a $795.41 USD value) with five applications covering digital asset management, RAW photo editing, layered image editing, AI-powered workflows, and video editing. Plus three installs per product.

From everyone on the development team here in Victoria, BC, thank you for supporting independent software and allowing us to continue building tools for photographers around the world.

All the best,

This doesn't seem to work. The link just goes to the main ACDSee page. If I find and add ACDSee Ultimate Pack 2026 to my cart, it's priced at $119.00. The "FSTOPPERS10" coupon code gives me "Please enter a valid coupon code" and "FSTOPPERS26" only gives me $11.90 off. I suspect the Slickdeals click tracker/redirector broke the link.

You are right. Sad.
While the original link from the letter works fine, the SD wrapper does not respect its integrity.
How'bout writing a letter to Mr. Howill himself and asking for a personal link during the promo event?

I don't know how to notify the moderators to fix it but I've seen them do it in the past on deals I've posted. I just put the URL in the post in some way that it won't get turned into a link and be broken. slickdeals dot net slash fix slash your slash broken slash redirects

I've used ACDSee products for years, dating all the way back to the early 2000s. That said, I find it hard to recommend as an investment, since the cost of upgrading each year really adds up. They do roll out new features, but the pricing feels higher than it ought to be for returning customers.

It's worth considering if you don't mind the ongoing expense and a fairly steep learning curve. Their customer service is also good in my experience.

I used the new link, and it shows me the $62 price. It says upgrade though. Did you have a previous version already? I don't want to pay for an upgrade license, only to find out I have to buy a previous version to make it work.

I mainly use this software and they always have sales like this going on via email. I haven't had the need to upgrade so I can't speak to the changes. As someone said there is a learning curve if you're coming from say Adobe.

I left using ACDsee once you had to let it through for firewall for it to work.

It was one of the first quality guilt-ware photograph viewer/database.

Looks like the screenshot is for the upgraded version. The link goes to the full product which came out to be $107.10.
