It's a good deal for what it is, the dual head pump is very convenient, and I like side loading water bottle holders. But I offer a suggestion: don't get a manual pump at all. Use a CO2 canister-based pump for emergencies. You aren't going to be using this pump outside of emergencies; it takes like 5 minutes of hard pumping to fill a tire. It's not like a foot pump where you have mechanical advantage; you're going full muscle man on this. So if it's only for emergencies, like after you repair a flat, get a CO2 inflator that can take up less space and not murder your arms in the middle of a ride. It's faster, smaller, and lighter. Replacement CO2 canisters, if you do end up using one on a ride, are like $1.50. In 3 years of biking, I only had to use my emergency kit once (also run with puncture-proof tires).

Never had a side loading holder before. Are side loading water bottle holders as "grippy" as top loading ones? I feel like bottles may be more likely to fall out.

If you look at the photo in the op, you'll see the grips are quite large, well made and firm and there is one on the bottom as well. Unless you took a major tumble off a cliff I don't think the bottle is going anywhere.
