not to justify the current steam deck price, blame AI for that
Community Reviews
This ACEMAGIC K1 mini PC stands out as a compact Ryzen 7 7735HS system with 24GB of DDR5, a 1TB SSD, and Radeon 680M graphics, making it appealing for general tinkering and light gaming. The price is framed as strong value because the RAM and storage alone are treated as worth a lot, and the 680M is called out as faster than the Steam Deck GPU. The main cautions are that the memory is soldered, the listing's GPU spec was wrong, and mini PC reliability can be hit or miss. It is a capable small desktop if fixed specs and portability matter more than upgrade flexibility.

And what makes it cheap?
I have purchased a firebat mini pc and it has been working nearly flawless.
Just remember it is soldered.

The Legion, Ally, etc don't cost the same as their "mini PC" analogs, so why should the SD?
And If Valve is just gouging for fun, why aren't there a million companies coming out with knockoff SD clones for half the price? You'd think AliExpress and Amazon would be covered up by them. Plenty of retro handheld manufacturers could pump these out by the millions if they wanted to...yet aren't....why? Real world cost vs market sale price.
FWIW, just because someone doesn't hold your same opinion, doesn't mean they are a "fanboy." Your opinion is completely and totally subjective. And just a guess, is highly influenced by your dislike of Valve. The fact you are already name calling hypothetical "fanboys", sight unseen, for an argument you shoved down the theoretical person's throat, kinda proves it.

On the topic of strawmen, whoever said they also were not overpriced? You seem to be one for strawmen, and you have the brains of a scarecrow to match. And likewise, since we are continuing down this rabbit hole, yes, the price over a standalone system is nominal at best. Not exactly comparable? They are computers with similar components, are they not? The majority of the cost is sunk in the processor, mainboard, memory, and storage. They are just as guilty, and that is precisely why the handheld PC market is going to heck in a hand basket since they are charging more than similarly priced gaming laptops with sometimes an order of magnitude more graphics performance. The other components are a couple hundred at best over the rest of the bill of materials.
"No one is forcing you to believe someone else's opinion."
Who demanded that? I certainly didn't. So take your own advice and calm down about a 2 week old thread.

So exactly what I said....and thus we completely agree? And everything else you are ranting about has nothing to do with anything mentioned? Thanks for playing.
LOL...

Lets recap: First you start off attacking your imaginary "fanboys" for make believe sTrAwMaN arguments you pulled out of thin air then shoved down this hypothetical group's throat, afterwards you really go below the belt against me when your feels get hurt because I dared to break down YOUR argument (not a make believe "fanboy's" argument) unemotionally and logically. FWIW, that's not normal behavior .
Seriously, I just said that Steam Deck price is not a good direct comparison....which you agreed with when stating that is a multiple hundred(S) of dollars difference...yet you decided to take a hard turn to personal insults anyway? Wow....
