Seems like the Amp numbers are increasing in these things. Does anyone have a way to confirm that the numbers are accurate. 6000A seems like a lot.

LFPs are now available as jumpers and last for a decade. This is a little cheaper up front but will last a lot less time wise.

Highly doubtful:

A typical car draws 150-300a on crank. Diesel will draw more 450-750+. So unless you have mac truck most of these packs will work with consumer vehicles. As previous poster mentioned - lfp or super capacitor are better. The latter especially if you plan to store in a hot vehicle. I also look for boost mode, in which it has a mode to jump a car with a completely dead battery, and a hard shell storage case vs some that come with a nylon bag and pull string. I also prefer the ones that can pd fast charge (the jump pack itself, not usb-c out, I don't care to charge devices with them) and with a pump built in but that's more personal preference.

Lasts longer and doesn't wear as much being fully charged. Also can handle hotter temp (cars) with less wear.

Lasts typically five times longer.

Trade off is a bit larger and harder to get today, but that is changing.

The biggest trade off is that they are weak compare to Lipo cells for jump starting car. That is why they are not widely used as jump starter.

Weaker per cell, but to be clear to others, this is resolved in product packaging. They simply put some more cells in.

But yes, that did hold the product group back.

There are now also 45W LFP portable chargers that can fit in your pocket.

LFP cells have very low C rating (discharge rating) compare to Lipo cells. You will need a lot more cells to compare to the power of lipo cells.
The only exception I see is the Lokithor LFP jump starter which claims 40C cells.

I've heard of LIPO, but not LFP until now.

It is also known by the longer chemistry name LiFePO4, but we use LFP today for consumer simplicity. Lithium Iron (Fe) Phosphate.

(Not to be confused with LiPo, Lithium Polymer).

A lot of EVs use LFP in their lower cost models to both provide affordability, and provide lower income consumers a more durable, long life vehicle.
