Google says this does not contain PEA. I'd probably pass in this case. Their fuel system cleaner does contain PEA, but it's likely not as much as redline s-1.

How does this compare to the Chevron Techron Complete Fuel System cleaner?

Like the other guy said, it doesn't. You're looking for a cleaner that contains polyether amine aka PEA. Anything else is either woefully bad at cleaning or doesn't do anything. PEA actually survives combustion and is able to clean very effectively. You should be using top tier fuel whenever possible to reduce the need for a cleaner but one every other or every oil change is good preventative maintenance. Do you know if your car is GDI? If so, I've heard great things about the new Valvoline restore and protect fuel system cleaner at AutoZone. It's definitely more expensive but better to spend the extra money on something that'll actually do the job vs something that won't.

Yes my car is GDI and I've been using the Techron cleaners and stocking up on the B1G1 deals at NAPA/Autozone. I read that there are other fuel system cleaners that are equally good and hence the question. Thank you for reminding me about Valvoline Restore and Protect and that's what i was looking for.

According to AI "Most standard STP products are considered outdated or junk. They rely on 1970s chemical technology sold at a 2026 premium. They are mostly low-cost, highly diluted preventive maintenance fluids masquerading as 'fixes in a bottle'."

If you want actual cleaning, get BG 44K or Techron the CONCENTRATE one. There are low PEA ones, don't get those.
