Perfect for kids sleep overs. We set up a projector and what not and let the kids have a backyard camp. When the weather is nice.

I took a chance on same brand tent without the porch bit and zippers fell apart on first camp out. Keep the box, stores won't accept the return without it despite Walmart online saying you don't even need a box. They want a UPC to scan before they can accept it.

8.37lbs is the net weight, which I assume to be the shipping weight (including box and packaging, not the tent only weight). The specifications section has the weight listed as 6.6lbs. But who knows what is actually accurate.

smh.

seems like a solid tent for the price, good for a smaller couple or a few kids.

yes of course you can. Even with a very good tent, if you are in a downpour or camping for a few days in very web weather you can hang a tarp over head. Depending on your arrangement you have to make sure that you are not affecting the breathability of your tent.
