I got pulled in by the novelty of these lightweight expanding hoses, but they're generally not worth it. The flow rate is pitiful, and despite marketing promises yes they do kink and knot when you begin to drain them if you aren't really careful.

I use these expandable hoses in the front lawn. They are light weight and small in size so it is super easy to store and move around. It does require maintenance that you need to drain out the water every time after usage to avoid mold and premature failure. Because it is like rubber band and will eventually snap (have crack/hole). But it was worthy trade-off for the convenience it brings.

Same here. Expect them to be throwaway after a couple seasons tops. Worth it for the convenience though over a 100' traditional hose. Even with a quality hose reel I avoided doing smaller tasks because I didn't want to pull it out and roll it back unless I needed it for at least a few hours. This is like night and day better if you don't need 100% full pressure.

These lack flow and arent very durable. I have found these useful though when running warmer water out of a basement utility sink or using it to hook up to my homeboni for my ice rink in the winter.

It will take people a while to learn. They're generally short-lived and barely adequate for anything but the most basic tasks.
