How much slower is single channel than dual channel in this case (just one RAM stick)?

for x3d cpu, no slow down. (only 1-2%) but 7600x wise, about 10% slow.

7500X3D bundle is $20 more and the superior choice if you're going to game. Plus, personal preference here... but I'd rather have a Micro ATX board these days. Full size ATX feels like overkill if you're just building a gaming rig, and you don't incur the mini itx tax.

Throw it in a lian li dan a3 with a corsair sfx and you'll have a super clean build.

Think they can build this into a desktop for the same price? I have a kid with a birthday in 3 days and no time to build anything

If you mean for an additional $285? That's a maybe. You'll probably end up with a 500GB hard drive.

Hey if I've never built a computer before but smart enough to get through the Microcenter Build It bundle steps, how hard and specialized are these builds? Don't want to solder anything but also don't want to pay $250 for microcenter to just plug parts in? TIA

Here's a 2-hour linus tech tips video that should be helpful (it's VERY in-depth).

The actual build starts at 38:10. before that is tips, finding components, etc.
