If you actually care about this, why would this be made in dark colors only....which is going to absorb heat from the sun way faster than lighter colors

You may just use any towel you already have, wear it and tie it around your neck gently with any lace or twine you may have. Or you may just buy velcro strip and attach it yourself accordingly.
