Always hate the slimy and moldy smell of the front door doormat, hoping this one with the holes will let the mat dry and avoid those things.

I have a similar model. Water does not soak into any fabric(it is at least rubber like if not actually rubber). If you turn the mat over there's little pegs keeping it off of the concrete so water flows out. In the winter it does collect ice in the holes but prying a Corner up on the edge will cause it to all come loose then I have that rectangle of clear spot on the rest of my concrete slab is ice. So if anything I'd want a bigger one.
