GN's latest longform video talks with the head of Corsair pretty extensively, and it's grim for PC part makers like this. The price of components means people just aren't building PCs at the same rate, and some of their lines are down 80-90%. Some can switch to more corporate orders, but given the length of their manufacturing pipeline many are stuck with months of inventory, so expect a combo of deals and eventual closures/mergers, with less diversity going forward and little light on the horizon.

That's a bummer. People will end up having to buy laptops and mini PCs and PC gaming industry will die off.

Wow that's sobering. That being said if this case came with fans, I would do my part and buy it.

Good thing they have resisted for so long. I am expecting a flood of closure sales and have seen none.

Yes, building PCs from here on out is going to be a pure hobbyist thing rather than a way to save money. The people who still build at home will be doing it purely for the fun and customization of it. Shame, but you can thank AI and the industries pushing for this.
