I bought this too and returned it the same day. One of the adjustable legs fell out with mine and I had to sort of force it back into place. I have no idea if it would have continued to be a problem, but I wasn't going to find out. This table is VERY rickety. For forty bucks I don't have high expectations, but this didn't even come close. Not good at all.

Idk about the comments from above...but this is perfect for me!! I have a CGI rocking chair and this is perfect height for eating lunch/dinner when camping. Perfect for a side table to hold my party pops

Nothing about it is 39". Look at the actual dimentions.
