Keep solar lights away from direct sun
These like others get water in them at solar panel
You can revive solar lights if not water damaged by cleaning the solar panel with rubbing alcohol
Some people seal the solar panel with clear nail polish but I have not tried it

In full sun the battery burns out

great did you buy these?
i have two of another brand, and still use my regular lights as they only stay on for 20 seconds, groan. for this price a few more may help, but real flood lights do the REAL job. YMMV of course.

I did. I don't have a large yard, but enough that a dog could easily decide to play hide and seek.

The batteries in a lot of these lights need to be replaced in 18-24 months, its pretty easy to do, I harvested a bunch of 18650 cells from an old tool battery to keep them going for years.
