Heads up.
all of these Chinese nugget ice makers have about a 6 moth to a year lifespan then they break. The nugget spinner eventually gets so clogged it won't make ice anymore.
just know you will be replacing it about once a year.

Even the GE Profile ones don't have a great lifespan. They just haven't cracked the code yet. For countertop anyway - Scotsman built-ins are some serious coin but I assume they would have to last or there just wouldn't be a market for them.

Just received this today, letting it rest on the counter for 2+ hours to let coolant settle, then do the clean cycle. Hopefully sonic ice tomorrow! Small footprint, pretty hefty. 1 year manuf warranty, but you have to pay shipping, which will probably cost a lot. I believe Amazon Prime CC extends warranty by 1 year?

I have had multiple ones like this. Use highly filtered water or they will clog. Every year or so I have to take it apart and clean out the cubes. Gets full of sand like substance. Otherwise we love them.

Do you use bottled water with no added minerals? For example Kirkland has minerals added back. But other water from Niagara is just pure water (reverse osmosis) with nothing added back. I'm guessing the 'sand' is the mineral buildup
