Good price, but rough surface. Get a vintage Griswold or Wagner, finish like glass.

Might get frustrated if you are a cast iron newbie with this one.

Each have their uses. I prefer the pebble finish (lodge) for things that involve searing meat. The mirror finish are better for things that might stick (eggs). I have a vintage giswold thats been in the family for over 80 years and it sees about equal use with my lodge pans.

My 10" lodge was my first pan and after about 9 years its gotten very smooth as well. Not mirror finish, but it sticks less than my griswold.
