Does it really come preinstalled with android 14? Support suggests the current android version (16) might be the last one they support for this model.

Yes and Yes.

This is alot of money for a tablet. While the specs are good... there not that good to demand such a high price IMHO, with end of life support coming up, I would expect a price of $350 - $375.

There is another tablet... not as good... but almost as good for $237.50... the Lenovo Tab Pro. It has a MT8300 which is almost as fast as the SD 8 Gen 2.

The Idea Tab Pro is slower, has less RAM, half the size hard drive... but for real world activities they are about the same. The only advantage I would give the Plus over the Pro is in emulation. The Snap Dragon 8 Gen 3 could be one of the best emulation chips around... even if you have the 8 Gen 5, emulations have not been written yet for this CPU.

My advice is to save money and get the pro unless you are into emulation.

And yes, the screen on the Plus is MUCH better then the screen on the Pro.
