I also ended up getting an adapter for the sucky end that swivels since—for whatever reason—they only provide a swiveling connection at the vacuum end. This makes it a real bitch to use if you're doing "spot" cleaning and nigh impossible if you're using it for dust collection from a tool.
For this reason a 3rd-party replacement swivel cuff was basically requirement & per another SD user's recommendation I bought one on Etsy from a store called SuctionEqualsSafety that sells both 2-½" and 1-⅞" swivel cuff replacements. You'll have to remove the stock hose cuff which is reverse threaded onto the hose (and in my case was also glued). I wiggled a long flathead screwdriver (thinner the better) up under the hose cuff from the hose end by twisting it left & right to loosen up the glue & make a path until I got it all the way through, held the flathead end with my left hand and the handle with my right & worked my way around using equal leverage to keep the screwdriver parallel to the cuff until it finally let go. It was a pain in the ass actually, but the new cuff threaded on (lefty-tighty) fine with no leaks or seal issues. The 3rd party cuff also was a little flexible & rubberized which is kind of nice because it has some give to it—which also makes it a little more sticky, but a little Blaster/WD40 Specialist Dry Lube will erase that problem.
Wow, that was really hard for me to explain and I've only had 2 drinks. EDIT: Actually now that I'm done it's 4, so hopefully this is helpful to other people lmao 🍻

Edit: I ended up getting this adapter set: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Shop-Vac...501319227
can adapt to chain these hoses together, and that Etsy store I linked has one that swivels for a few bucks more:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/4455...c-hose-tip
Then you'd just need a 1⅞ swivel and you'd have a swiveling joint and a swiveling cuff at the end of your chained hoses. That way if you wanted to pull your 1⅞ hose off & just use the stock hose you'll still have a swiveling end, although of you don't have 1⅞ accessory/attachments you'd have to swap your OEM cuff back on to use the ones that came with your Stealthsonic.
Hopefully I interpreted you correctly—lots of options either way.👌
