Do these work on larger vacuums? It states 6-10 gallon, but am I correct in thinking that it's a universal-ish connector to the vac? Does it state 6-10 because those usually come with 1⅞" vs 2½"?

They'll work on it you would need a 2 1/2 to 1 7/8 adapter. Those are standard sizes for any shop vac. If you scroll down they have the models it works on if you have a Dewalt and a reducer if you need.

As stated, you will need adaptors. In my experience, it is best to find a kit of adaptors so you have many that end up costing far less and provides a number of options for tools, etc.

Or someone painted the dewalt hoses orange. The compnaies probably get them from the same manufacturing facility and brand them.
