I have these gloves and they have worked really well for road biking. I've used them on about 8 or 10 road bike trips ranging from 20 to 60 mi. I have this size. I typically wear a size large glove, although if I want a very snug technical fit for a certain mountaineering things I can squeeze into a medium. They do stretch out a bit and I do have a little bit of excess room so for larger hands they should be ok. The gel padding is nice and I find them to be quite comfortable. I have drop bars on my bike but I typically don't use them. My standard hand position is with my thumb on the inside of the upper curve of the drop bar and my fingers on the other side.
